This function enables the Barometer Administrator to inform the Account Administrators of service announcements. An example of this would be announcing that a new version of the Barometer has been put online, providing a link to a website or a PDF stating the most important updates. The notification is displayed prominently in a bar (underneath the menu) in the Account Administrator section, as soon as the Account Administrator logs in. When the announcement has been read, it can be hidden by the Account Administrator.

To create a notification, follow the next steps:

1. The module 'Settings' can be started directly from the ‘Welcome’ screen of the account management section or by selecting 'Settings' in the module selection on top of the page.

2. Select 'notifications' in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.

3. Click on 'Add'.

4. A content editor screen opens, where the text for the notification can be noted. There is also an option of uploading files or inserting links. See Upload images/files for more detailed information about this.

5. Now specify the beginning and end dates of the notification.

6. Lastly, click the 'save' botton.
