The news item function is opened directly from the ‘Welcome’ screen of the account management section or by selecting 'News' in the module selection on top of the page. The ‘Create news item’ link at the top of the screen opens a new window in which the user can create and save a new news item.
A news item consists of the following fields:
Public : Tick. Tick this to make the news item public. Public news items are visible to all visitors to the Tourist Barometer from the public domain, including visitors who are not logged in. Publish date : The publication date determines the date from which the new item is visible. Expire date : The expiry date determines the date from which the new item will no longer be visible. Title : Short title for the news item (fill in separately for each language. Intro : Short introduction for the news item. The first paragraph of the news item can often be used as the introduction (fill in separately for each language). Content : Complete news item (fill in separately for each language).
After creating the new item, store it by clicking the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page.
