Figures can be entered by Account Administrators and Partners (Partners can either use a direct link contained in an email or log in themselves). The module is opened from the ‘Welcome’ section of the Account Administration section by selecting ‘Barometer’ from the module selection tool at the top-right of the page (‘Select module’).

After the module for entering figures has opened, the module for which figures need to be entered can be selected, e.g. ‘Museums’ or ‘Attractions’.

The desired year can then be selected at the top of the page.

Comments:

An explanation can be entered in each language in the large field below where the year is displayed. Clicking ‘Save’ stores the entered text. These comments are displayed in the module screen in question, below the graph and above the table.

At the bottom of the page, attendance figures can be entered for the selected year for each Partner and month. This data is usually entered by the Partner, unless they specifically request otherwise. Accompanying comments can also be entered here (e.g. regarding temporary closure or a special exhibition) by clicking on the blue triangle next to the specific month/year. The triangle turns red after a comment has been entered.

Publishing:

Options to ‘publish entire column’ and ‘block entire column’ are displayed at the top of the table. There is also the option to indicate whether it concerns ‘provisional CBS figures’ (hotel statistics), but this has no further effect within the system itself.

No data:

If no figures are available for an entire year for a Partner or nationality, the Partner or nationality will not be displayed in the table.

If a Partner is unable to enter figures for a particular month (for example, due to temporary closure), a ‘0’ should not be entered. Instead, the field should be left empty and a comment entered into the text box.

Explanation of use:

Columns are published at the end of the month so that all figures are visible in the barometer. A column is blocked once all Partners have entered their figures. This means that the month in question is blocked in the input module and Partners can no longer access the month to edit figures (in order to prevent an excessive number of revisions being made to the barometer). If Partners still need to edit the figures they have entered, they should email the changes to the Account Administrator.
